Have you heard of Blossom Blend? Have you tried it?
I have been using these products for about 2 months...
When it comes to skincare, people are still quite evasive... If you take care of your skin, you could be stereotyped as superficial or borderline obsessive. Don't take care of it and pretty much everyone notices.
You "should" take better care of your skin, it is after all, the largest organ and what we brave the world in....
With drastic changes in climate, holidays, unhealthy meals, stressful jobs, pollution, and our ridiculously fast paced lifestyles, skin sensitivity dramatically increases.
Your skin is prone to dehydration, increasing your chances of developing fine lines, flaky or rough skin, and giving you an overall dull tired appearance.
The worst of it though, is that while drinking water helps, it's not sufficient for hydrating your skin. That is why most skincare today are aimed at penetrating the deeper layers of your skin, to address dehydration and other skin concerns.
When it comes to drugstores, spas and chain stores, I've pretty much tested alot of skincare and the ones that actually fulfil their promises are beyond our budgets or not feasible over a long period.
Eyes peeled, I came across the Blossom Blend brand of skincare on Instagram ... I had read quite a few reviews... Was super curious (which blogger isn't!) and even more stoked to run into the Owner of the brand, Asmaa Ennamar, at a local pop up.
Asmaa originally from Morocco, incredibly humble, absolutely stunning, and has the most amazing skin... MashaAllah... She is also a mum of 4 who juggles her skincare brand and her own designer wear.
She gave me 3 products from her Blossom Blend Skindew Skincare collection:
1. Youthful Tonic Exfoliating Toner 50ml
2. Skinquench Hydrating Face Gel 50ml
3. Blossom Oil Blend Revitalizing Face Oil 50ml
1. Youthful Tonic Exfoliating Toner:
This toner really packs a punch. It is multi-tasking!. I use this product the most. I apply it using a cotton pad. The toner comes in a clear pump dispenser bottle with lid, and here's why I love it:
1. It contains Butylene Glycol which increases skin penetration for other ingredients, thus making your skincare more effective.
2. Alcohol free
3. Contains Glycolic acid which exfoliates your skin and brightens it with repeated use. Exfoliation gets rid of the deal skin cells making skincare more effective as it can penetrate more easily.
4. Also contains aloe vera and ginseng for circulation.
2. Blossom Oil Blend Revitalizing Face Oil:
I was taken by this face oil, when Asmaa had done a short demo, showing me how easily the oil is absorbed into the skin.
I carry this with me because:
1. It is an oil but has all the benefits of a serum.
2. It contains a number of skin revitalizing oils such as grape seed, Almond, Jojoba, Rose, Rosehip, Evening Primrose and more.
3. Rosehip oil is known for penetrating the deeper layers of the skin and containing vitamins A and C, it also stimulates collagen, hydrates the skin and is great for pigmentation.
4. It's a brilliant oil primer for makeup as it absorbs quickly and is not greasy. It leaves your skin feeling nourished, hydrated, soft and dewy.
5. I love using it on my hands.
It's also suitable for sensitive skin and other parts of your body including treatment of pesky stretch marks.
3. Skinquench Hydrating Face Gel
I stored the gel in the fridge as instructed by Asmaa, and I can tell you with absolute certainty, I love this product. Here are the reasons why:
1. It is especially amazing to use during Summer, straight out the fridge, and aids in depuffing the under eye area.
2.The gel is suitable for all skin types but a skin sensitivity test is crucial because it is highly concentrated.
3. It's is an amazing makeup primer, especially if you want that natural dewy, healthy glow.
4. It contains Aloe Vera, which is great for calming the skin after sun exposure, for hydration, and for acne.
5. It also contains among other natural ingredients,
A. Glycerin, a humectant which retains moisture in the skin preventing it from drying out.
B. Rosemary oil which penetrates the deeper layers of the skin, is good for circulation, is anti inflammatory, anti aging and antibacterial.
C. Green tea with its antioxidant properties.
All 3 products come in a clear pump dispenser bottle for easy use. Has clearly marked labels with instructions and ingredients and have not been tested on animals.
Overall I love this skincare and would definitely do repeat purchases. Just a little goes a long way and it's a natural product that has cut out all the nasties. It hydrates, softens, brightens, nourishes, fortifies and strengthens the skin. Is great for acne, and acne marks, especially the exfoliating toner and face oil. As with all products, I advise a skin patch test. Though I'm pretty sure you will want to apply it everywhere after you experience the results..and even rock those #nomakeupselfies
